PEMF M&M PULSE THERAPY

PEMF therapy offers a non-invasive treatment aimed at relieving pain in horses.

This service is offered by Michael Miller a certified PEMF practitioner.

ABOUT…

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy is one option, involving the use of static magnets as a healing modality.

It started with horses and later humans. Michael Miller performs PEMF therapy locally on both humans and animals.

PEMF therapy involves the production of magnetic fields applied to a targeted area or the entire body, which penetrate the body without pain or invasive methods. PEMF therapy is thought to help prevent pain signals from passing through the body and promotes the body's natural ability to heal itself. By contrast, painkillers often only mask pain instead of allowing the body to heal at the source of the pain. Proponents say PEMF helps animals and humans alike by recharging the cells within the body, optimising cell function and restoring the body's natural ability to heal.

WHAT DOES IF FEEL LIKE?

Animals love the way PEMF feels, and it shows in their honest bodily responses. During a session, you may notice the animal’s head dropping, eyes closing, as well as licking and chewing. These responses are often the result of electromagnetic fields stimulating acupuncture points and activating the parasympathetic nervous system. These releases tell us the animal is truly relaxed and, with that, they stop holding tension in certain areas of their body.

PULSE EQUINE PEMF vs. LASER TREATMENTS?

Area, penetration, and time.

While both the laser and Pulse Equine PEMF deliver energy to the body, the main differences are as follows:

  1. Pulse Equine PEMF systems have a wide focal area, and the wave area does not diminish as it penetrates the body. Lasers have a very small focal area of less than an inch.

  2. Lasers have a limited penetration of less than 2 inches, unless the power is increased, which increases the potential to damage the cells at the surface. Pulse Equine PEMF machines’ electromagnetic waves can travel into the body without causing harm.

  3. PEMF can be used on the whole body and takes 45 to 60 minutes for a full body session. Since lasers have such a small focal point, it takes a long time to address a larger area, making full body sessions implausible.

“What is the magnetic field doing?” Primarily, it increases circulation by causing vasodilation. It also increases cellular metabolism by helping cells to utilise oxygen.
